The short version

No data collected

The app makes a small number of network requests to our server to fetch today's briefing, search results, archive entries, and to validate your subscription status with Apple. None of those requests carry identifiers tied to you — no advertising ID, no account, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter. We do not log IP addresses against the content you read, and we do not retain them after the request completes.

What passes through our servers

• A request for today's curated briefing — anonymous, no body, no identifier beyond the bearer token required by the API.
• A search query if you type one. We do not log queries tied to a device.
• An Apple-issued subscription receipt if you tap Restore purchases. The receipt is forwarded to Apple's servers for validation and discarded.

That's the entire request surface. There is no telemetry, no advertising SDK, and no third-party analytics.

What we never collect

• Name, email, phone number, or any account credential.
• Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, MAC, IMEI).
• Location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.
• Health, biometric, or sensitive information.
• Browsing history outside the app.

On-device storage

The app stores a few preferences on your device — your chosen language (English or 简体中文), your subscription state (so we know whether to show the paywall), and a small cache of the most recent briefing so it loads instantly when you reopen the app. You can clear this from Settings → Reset inside the app, or by deleting the app.

In-app purchases

TrialDaily Premium is billed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment, receipts, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. We never see your card details. Subscription management is in your Apple ID settings. A 7-day free trial is offered on first purchase; cancel any time before the trial ends and you will not be charged.

Third-party services

The content in the app is drawn from publicly registered records:

• ClinicalTrials.gov — trial registrations and updates.
• openFDA — FDA drug approvals, supplements, and enforcement actions.
• The FDA newsroom RSS feed — agency announcements.

All three are US-government or US-government-derived public datasets. Visiting a primary source link from inside the app opens the original record in your browser; that visit is governed by those sites' own policies, not this one.

Children

TrialDaily is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we will update the effective date above and surface a note on the app's settings screen. Because we do not collect contact information, we cannot notify you by email.
